Introducing – Tools for Cinema Quality Assurance

Cinema Test Tools for the non-Technical Manager – Post Installation Quality Assurance Has Begun

Cinema Test Tools is a free resource for the cinema industry, tuned most particularly for the non-technical manager. The tools include several DCPs, all with interesting means of testing the sound and picture quality for the interested by lightly trained staff. The lessons on sound and light are written to provide a foundation to communicate with the technician who must respond quickly and well to the information that they discover.

The key is a free Managers Online Walk Through Checklist that correlates with the many DCPs. It helps bring an understanding of the many nuances of the auditorium's situation in a straightforward way.

Societies really imply a lot of special efforts by individual. Here's some news from some of the many in this field.

That is, CinemaCon starts with International Day on the 11th of April and ends on Thursday the 14th, then after a day of rest NAB 2016 starts with DCinemaDays (or whatever it is called now) begins on Saturday the 16th and 17th, with the Convention floor opening on the 18th through 21st. Certainly makes for a long few weeks for exhibitors with booths but it avoids two trips to Vegas.

Visions of NAB Past...About the Future

Since my involvement in SMPTE committee work last year, when I swore to never reveal anything that was mentioned in a SMPTE committee – which is everything~! – I can never seem to put pixel to screen anymore. James Gardiner has figured a way to put pixel to screen though, which is to do video interviews and video lessons on dcinema.

Or, in this case, a great swath of NAB seminars – and in this case SMPTE sponsored events~! absolutely great stuff, and a great follow-up to the CinemaCon work he posted as well.
